John Strilkiwski along with his wife Anne started Strilkiwski Contracting Ltd. (SCL) in the 1950’s in Fork River MB In 1986 the company was incorporated.

Gerald and Harvey took over operations in the early 1980’s Business was booming and SCL relocated to Dauphin in 1995 Since relocating the business has grown enormously and SCL now works Province wide as well as in Saskatchewan.

SCL is a family run business with the next generation fully hands on. Gerald’s son Travis has worked fulltime since high school. Harvey's son Dillan manages a crushing crew, and his daughter Jonna works in the office.

It is not just the Strilkiwski family that is multi-generational, is very common for more than one member of a family to be employed by SCL as well.
